Amitabh Bachchan announced Wednesday that he will pause his usual social media updates after receiving medical advice to rest and recover. I have been advised to take a few days off to rest and recover, so I am unable to write anything at the moment.”

The actor had previously shared a similar update on his personal blog a day earlier, coinciding with his Dussehra greetings. “Under very strict rest and recuperation .. so am not allowed to communicate .. do excuse .. my apologies,” he wrote, adding that he hoped to communicate further later.

Bachchan did not specify the reason for the medical advice, leaving fans uncertain about the nature of the situation. His announcement sparked concern among his followers, who expressed hope for a swift recovery.

The timing of his health update comes amid ongoing police investigations into a security-related incident. According to reports, suspects allegedly surveyed the residences of several prominent personalities, including Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan, before targeting Tiger Shroff’s car in a firing incident. Police reports suggest the suspects abandoned plans involving Bachchan’s residence after assessing the security arrangements.

Despite his current need for rest, Bachchan remains professionally active. He recently appeared in the Tamil film Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel and starring Rajinikanth. He is also set to appear in the sequel to the science-fiction film Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. Additionally, Bachchan continues hosting the 18th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the long-running television quiz show closely associated with him.
