Dodge is reviving the Super Bee nameplate for the 2027 Charger lineup, introducing a high-performance variant that celebrates the Charger’s 60th anniversary. The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition becomes the most powerful six-cylinder version in the Charger family, according to the automaker.
The new model uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine derived from the Charger Scat Pack, which originally produces 550 horsepower. Through mechanical modifications, Dodge has increased output to 600 hp in the Super Bee. The engine retains 531 lb-ft of torque but delivers peak torque earlier than the Scat Pack version, according to the automaker.
Performance figures include a 0 to 97 km/h acceleration time of 3.6 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 11.8 seconds. To achieve these gains, Dodge fitted two 56-mm Garrett turbochargers with boost pressure exceeding 30 psi and increased airflow by 7.5 percent compared to the Scat Pack. The intake, charge air cooling system, and several mechanical components were revised. Cooling enhancements include integrated auxiliary radiators in the front that reportedly increase airflow to cooling components by 30 percent.
The chassis receives significant updates as well. All four corners feature 16-inch Brembo ventilated discs. The Super Bee rides on 20-inch forged wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires measuring 305/35ZR20. A new adaptive suspension with dual-valve dampers is included, along with Track and Drag driving modes that adjust damper settings to optimize weight transfer during hard acceleration.
Like other six-cylinder Chargers, the Super Bee retains all-wheel drive but includes a rear-wheel-drive mode accessible via a dedicated steering wheel button that sends 100 percent of torque to the rear wheels.
Design elements include a model-specific front fascia, larger front splitter, and new rear spoiler. The redesigned bee emblem draws inspiration from turbocharger shapes. The Launch Edition will be offered exclusively in three colors: Sucker Punch (yellow-green), Shady (grey), and Diamond Black.
Interior touches include sport seats with Super Bee logos embroidered on headrests, Sour Lemon stitching, and a Super Bee plaque on the dashboard. The Super Bee nameplate originally launched with the Dodge Coronet in 1968 and joined the Charger family in 1971 before being revived most recently on the 2023 Charger Super Bee Last Call.
The 2027 model will be assembled in Windsor, Ontario. Dodge has not yet disclosed pricing, dealership arrival dates, or production numbers.
