Motorola has announced the Signature 27, a new flagship smartphone described as the company’s most advanced device to date. The device emphasizes distinctive design, advanced camera capabilities, and artificial intelligence features.
The phone’s camera system earned a DXOMARK Gold Label for image quality. According to Motorola, it includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA L910 main camera with LOFIC technology for video recording, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 100x Super Zoom capability, a dedicated EVS action sensor for motion photography, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP front camera supporting 4K video recording. The telephoto lens is designed to capture distant subjects while preserving color and sharpness at extreme zoom levels.
The display is an Extreme AMOLED Duo using Tandem Technology, which combines two emissive layers. Motorola states it reaches up to 12,000 nits peak brightness with 1.5K Super HD resolution. The company claims the display offers 34 percent greater energy efficiency and 121 percent longer lifespan than traditional AMOLED panels, along with Pantone-validated color calibration and SGS-certified blue light reduction.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Mobile Platform. The Signature 27 includes an ArcticMesh cooling system with micro-diamond-infused thermal gel and a thermal chamber described as 40 percent larger than the previous generation. Motorola specifies a 6-antenna 5G design promising up to 2x faster Wi-Fi speeds and Wi-Fi 8 compatibility. The device supports seven years of OS upgrades.
AI features include Google Gemini integration through Gemini Intelligence, which the source indicates will roll out in coming months. Motorola highlights Gemini capabilities for multi-step tasks, a Rambler feature that transforms speech into written text, Create My Widget for personalized widgets, and Sign-to-Text for American Sign Language translation. The device also includes Motorola’s Qira assistant and out-of-box Google Gemini experiences. Audio by Bang & Olufsen is integrated into the device.
