According to Closer, Prince William is laying out demanding terms should he consider reconciling with his estranged brother Prince Harry following the Sussexes’ recent UK visit.

An insider told the publication that William, 43, wants Harry and Meghan to publicly apologize and take accountability before he would even consider sitting down with them. The future King is reportedly insisting on a legally binding contract that would prohibit Harry from making public attacks on the family or mentioning family members publicly without prior palace approval.
William’s conditions extend further, according to the report. He wants assurances that Harry and Meghan will not conduct “shameless faux royal tours without permission” and clear boundaries on how Meghan uses her royal status to promote her brand.
The source described William as “adamant” that any reconciliation come with what “may be considered brutal and humiliating” terms for the Sussexes. The publication notes that William remains “furious” about Harry’s decisions since stepping away from royal life, particularly his Netflix deal and his memoir Spare, in which Harry alleged that William physically assaulted him during a dispute over Meghan.
According to the report, William views a legally binding contract as “the only language the Sussexes will understand.” The source also indicated that William finds it “ridiculous” that he is being pressured to reconcile, saying he “doesn’t understand how anyone can forgive him.”
Meanwhile, Princess Kate is said to be hoping her husband might eventually find forgiveness, though she respects his need for genuine reconciliation rather than forced amends. The source told Closer that Kate would support William signing a written agreement if it helps rebuild trust between the brothers.
This latest development follows reports that William was furious when learning of Harry’s return to the UK and allegedly left early from last month’s Trooping the Colour event, threatening to boycott future royal gatherings.
